My recent review of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is my one-hundredth video game review here at Wizard Dojo! Considering I “officially” launched this site on Christmas day of 2014, that’s 100 video game reviews in just under one year’s time. I’d say that’s a pretty productive first year for Wizard Dojo. Here’s hoping year two can keep up.
Of course, I now realize I really need to catch up with my reviews for animated films, which are fast approaching the sixty mark. There are only so many hours in a day though… If only that thing called “real life” would stop getting in the way.
Anyway, if you want to check out all 100 of my current video game reviews (and all future game reviews to come), just check out the Game Reviews page!
And, for those obsessed over perfect scores, I have currently given a score of 10/10 to the following four games.
Then there are those games that sit alongside them in the 9.5s club, wich currently houses six games.
Now that I write them down together, I notice that my 9.5s and 10s actually make up a whole tenth of my game reviews so far… But before you think I’m an easy grading softy, I should point out that that’s a good chunk of the 10s and 9.5s I can think of at the moment. Sure, there are a few others that I’ll get around to, but I’ll try to spread them out so that A) I don’t look too soft, and B) so I don’t just rush them all out the gate. Maybe I’ll even make a section of this site dedicated to my perfect and near-perfect scores soon.
Anyway, I’m rambling at this point.
I didn’t intend to write 100 game reviews in my first year, but after I started picking up steam, a few months ago I decided to see if I could do it. And I did. So yay me.
Now I just hope I can keep the momentum going, and catch up in the animation department.
Thanks to all my readers for their continued readership. You give me someone to write this stuff for!
