June is Disney/Pixar Month!

Buzz and Woody

I have decided to dedicate a number of my posts here on Wizard Dojo in the month of June to be dedicated to Disney and Pixar movies. Okay, so it seems like Disney and Pixar films are frequently the topic of discussion here at the Dojo, but I’m going to try to double up on Disney and Pixar-related content, due to the upcoming release of Finding Dory, the long-awaited sequel to the much-beloved Finding Nemo.

Expect a number of reviews, top 5 and 10 lists, and other such writings dedicated to the two animation giants during the rest of the month. Don’t worry, I’ll still be posting video game stuff and my usual nonsense as well.

Inside Out RileyOn a related note, I first saw Pixar’s Inside Out exactly one year ago today (before it was officially open to the public, because I’m awesome!). Inside Out is the first of currently only two movies I have scored a 10/10 here at Wizard Dojo, and named it as my favorite film of 2015. Such a magnificent film.

So yes, along with my usual nonsense, look forward to some Disney and Pixar stuff in the coming weeks.

Born of cold and winter air and mountain rain combining, the man called Scott is an ancient sorcerer from a long-forgotten realm. He’s more machine now than man, twisted and evil. Or, you know, he could just be some guy who loves video games, animations and cinema who just wanted to write about such things.

  1. I support your month of Disney and Pixar and look forward to the upcoming content! It’s also indeed awesome of you that you got to see Inside Out early. That was certainly one of the best Pixar movies in recent years. Pixar being amazing used to be the norm, and lately Disney has been achieving that greatness with their recent movies. It was nice to see this return to form for Pixar!

    1. Thanks very much for the comment! I feel a bit guilty that I have yet to write one of my Disney/Pixar related posts for June thus far, but I will be sure to remedy that really soon with some reviews and lists and such. Be on the lookout.

And I agree, it seems Pixar’s greatness has shifted over to Disney for the most part, with Inside Out being the only real Pixar classic released for the past few years. The Good Dinosaur was a big letdown, so let’s hope Finding Dory ends up great and proves that Inside Out wasn’t a one time return to form.

By the way, I have added your site to my “Links” page. Keep up the great work.

      1. I look forward to it! I haven’t seen The Good Dinsosaur, but I wasn’t expecting much out of it based on the trailers and overall reception. I hope that Finding Dory is great, but aside from the Toy Story 2 & 3, I haven’t found the sequels that great, especially compared to their usual caliber.

Thank you very much for adding my site as a link! I appreciate it a lot!! Keep up the great work as well!
